The Cathedral

The Cathedral is a church which the Bishop's official throne is located from where he has authority to preside over the church in the Diocese. It is also the focus of unity of the Diocese as many Diocesan functions are normally held in the Cathedral.
The cathedral is located in Embu Town which is the county headquarters and therefore an uban congregation. It has a population of 600 registered members with an average Sunday service attendance of about 950 people. Most of the members are business people and civil servants who reside in Town, Njukiri, Kangaru, Muthatari/Majimbo and Blue valley Estate.
The general control of the Cathedral is in the hands of the Cathedral Chapter. The Chapter plays a
leading role in the physical development and in making sure that the Cathedral offers quality worship
in accordance to Anglican tradition.
